How to Prepare Your Business for the New NDIS Price Guide
Each time the NDIA release an updated NDIS Price Guide, it brings one big question for support providers:
“What do I need to change in my business?”
If you’re an independent support worker or NDIS provider, the beginning of the financial year is the perfect time to review your pricing, update your systems, and make sure you’re ready to invoice correctly for the year ahead.
Here’s a simple checklist to help you get started.
The NDIS Price Guide Has a New Name
From 1 July 2026, what was previously known as the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits (PAPL) has officially been renamed the NDIS Pricing Schedule.
While the name has changed, its purpose hasn’t.
The NDIS Price Guide (Pricing Schedule) still outlines:
- maximum price limits
- support item pricing
- travel and cancellation rules
- pricing guidance for NDIS-funded supports
Whether you’re a support worker, cleaner, therapist or another provider, it’s worth taking a few minutes to review the latest updates.
Your EOFY Checklist
The release of the new NDIS Price Guide is the perfect reminder to review your business back end.
Take a few moments to:
✔ Check whether any of your support item prices have changed
✔ Update your invoicing system with any new pricing (this will be automatic if you use Earni)
✔ Review your service agreements before applying new rates
✔ Make sure you’re using the correct line items on future invoices.
A little preparation now can save a lot of headaches later.
Talk With Your Clients First
Before applying any price changes, it’s important to have a conversation with your existing clients. The NDIA reminds providers that any proposed changes to current service agreements should be discussed and agreed to before they’re introduced.
Open communication helps maintain trust and ensures everyone understands what, if anything, is changing.
New Financial Year - Refresh Your Systems
The start of a new financial year is more than just updating prices, it’s a chance to make your admin and accounts process easier too. If you’re still manually updating spreadsheets, word doc invoices or price lists every July, it might be time for a simpler approach (with less stress!).
In the Earni app, your service pricing is updated all in one place, an Earni creates accurate, compliant invoices in one minute for all your Plan Managed, Self Managed, and also Non-NDIS clients using the latest pricing and line item codes. You don’t need to search for them!
You can also manage:
- appointments & your weekly calendar
- client notes & emails
- service agreements & quotes
- expenses & income tracking (click here to read more on how to manage your business expenses the easy way)
- download a profit & loss statement
- and it has a built-in Plan Manager finder!
Everything stays together, making future pricing updates something you don’t even need to manage.
